Service Description

Spice up your Tuesdays with a fun and welcoming 4-week beginner salsa series at The Durango Collective. Professional Latin dance instructor Brent Lilley will guide students through the fundamentals of salsa including rhythm, timing, basic steps, partner connection, and turns. Each week builds on the previous one while still allowing newcomers to catch up. No partner or dance experience required. What You’ll Learn * Week 1: Salsa rhythm, timing, and foundational steps * Week 2: Partner frame, lead and follow technique, and new step patterns * Week 3: Latin dance fundamentals including posture, Cuban motion, and styling * Week 4: Review and new turns to bring everything together Instructor Brent Lilley has over 30 years of professional dance instruction and trained in Miami, New York City, and London. He competed in the Latin Division of the U.S. Dance Championships and teaches a wide range of Latin, Ballroom, and partner dances. Come learn something new, meet great people, and bring some Latin rhythm to your week. Class 6:30-7:30 Practice/Social Hour 7:30-8:30pm

Cancellation Policy

West Slope Westies Booking & Refund Policy Online Booking Cutoff: Online registration closes 5 minutes prior to the start of class. If you miss this window, please see a volunteer at the check-in desk to be manually added to the roster (subject to space availability). Series Registration: Cancellations and refunds are available until 24 hours before the first class of the series begins. After this point, we cannot offer refunds, "roll-overs," or credits to future series. Missing a class in a series does not entitle the participant to a partial refund. Drop-In Classes: Non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may reschedule your class online, or, please contact us 24 hours in advance to reschedule your drop-in credit to a different date within the same month. Attendance: For Series Classes, consistent attendance is key. If you know you will miss a "Basics" class, we highly recommend deferring to a future series to ensure you have the foundation needed for the group. Volunteer-Run: We are a small non-profit 501(c)3. Your registration fee directly supports our venue and community costs. Thank you for your support!
